Dan Kennedy has been serving individuals and organizations nationwide since 1991. Dan is a Professional Certified Coach and works with leaders who are ready to create results that matter for themselves and their congregations and organizations. Over the years, he has been interviewed about the coaching profession by news and business publications including Inc. Magazine and The Seattle Times.
Dan is a speaker and facilitator on issues regarding coaching, leadership, and career development. He has designed and conducted over 800 effective presentations, workshops and seminars for various local and national organizations, including a course for clergy on learning coaching as a leadership skill. Dan is a regular contributor to NetSpeed Fast Tracks, a new website devoted to helping managers and their employees successfully deal with workplace and career challenges. The site delivers its content through articles, interviews, blogs, and podcasts. He also produced and hosted a well-regarded radio program on workplace issues that aired for two years in the Seattle area on KSER 90.7 FM.
He completed the advanced curriculum at The Coaches Training Institute, and was a member of the International Coach Federation’s language committee, which was responsible for creating the organization's definition of professional personal coaching. Dan helped found the Seattle area ICF chapter, as well. He is also the creator and publisher of The Coach's Resource List©, a comprehensive listing of information sources for those wanting to learn more about the skills and profession of coaching.
Dan is a trustee of the Puget Sound Career Development Association, and has consulted to Next Chapter of Puget Sound, a consortium of non-profit and governmental organizations devoted to helping people in the second half of life contribute as much as possible to society. Prior to his coaching career he was a successful trainer and sales executive with the LEXIS / NEXIS online information services company.
Dan has a history of active engagement in his community. He is on the Board of Congregational Leadership Northwest, a key regional consulting and training resource devoted to helping faith communities and their leaders thrive. And he recently launched Next Step Coaching Circles for Pastors(sm) -- small supportive learning communities devoted to coaching congregational leaders while helping them to learn coaching as a leadership skill.
